The Rico by D’Addario Graftonite B5 Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece is an affordable, easy-playing mouthpiece designed especially for students, school musicians, and developing clarinetists.
Designed by legendary mouthpiece maker Arnold Brilhart, the Graftonite series uses a durable synthetic material that provides excellent response, projection, and consistency without the cost of a traditional hard-rubber mouthpiece. D’Addario specifically positions the Graftonite line for educational and school-music use. D'Addario
The B5 configuration combines a medium chamber with a .050" (1.27 mm) tip opening and approximately 19 mm facing length, giving the player a comfortable, responsive setup with enough openness for good projection and tonal flexibility.
It is an excellent replacement for the basic mouthpiece supplied with many student clarinets and a practical choice for school band, concert band, marching band, and general-purpose playing.
