For best results, use the pad saver after cleaning your flute with a cleaning rod and gauze—it is not a substitute for proper swabbing. Once the instrument is dry, insert the pad saver into the body of the flute before storing it in the case. It can also help reduce condensation when moving between warm and cold environments.
