At the heart of the AZ2 is an Altus Professional Z-Cut™ .925 sterling silver headjoint, giving the advancing player a more responsive and expressive instrument without making the jump to a fully professional flute.
Why the AZ2 feels different from a student flute

Altus Professional Z-Cut™ Headjoint
The AZ2 uses an Altus professional Z-Cut headjoint made from .925 sterling silver. It is designed for quick response, clean articulation, and a full, expressive sound throughout the flute's registers.

Altus Scale
